Robin Samples

2024 Inductee

From her very first year, Robin Samples embodied the essence of Panther pride. As a freshman, she achieved the remarkable feat of securing a spot on the varsity cheerleading squad—one of only 12 chosen from a pool of 75 during the historic merger of Chattanooga Valley and Rossville. Not only was she selected, but she was the sole freshman to earn that honor, and continued to cheer for all four years of her high school career. Robin was a vital part of the first class to experience a full four years at the newly formed Ridgeland High School. Her infectious enthusiasm and spirit made her a constant presence on the homecoming court each year, and ultimately, she was crowned "Miss RHS" by her senior class, a testament to her popularity and the high regard in which she was held.

Robin's dedication to cheerleading and her passion for her community didn't end at graduation. She continued her cheerleading career at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, under the guidance of our very own Mr. Craig Parrott, cheering during the legendary era of Terrell Owens and the successful Mack McCarthy basketball teams. From the sidelines of thrilling games to the excitement of three NCAA tournaments, including a Sweet 16 run, Robin carried her Panther spirit to the collegiate level.

Returning to Walker County, she embarked on a distinguished career in education, spending 15 years shaping young minds at Rossville Elementary, and now continuing her service at the Central Office. With nearly 27 years devoted to Walker County Schools, Robin’s commitment to our community is undeniable. We honor Robin Samples, a true Ridgeland Panther, for her remarkable achievements and lasting contributions.
